Written by

One of the simple, inevitable facts of life is that stains happen, no matter how cautious you are with your broiling pans of spaghetti sauce or with your glass of red wine. You spend so much time in your favorite clothes and therefore it is impossible always avoid stains. If it is your favorite dress or top that has gotten stained, don't sigh in frustration just yet. Those seemingly impossible stains aren't so impossible when you attack them from the right angle. Therefore there is no need to give up on your favorite clothes! Try these simple tips to help you wipe out those stubborn splotches, spatters and spots:

Ink Stains

Using hairspray is the first step! Spray it on the stain as soon as possible then wash it off with water. You can rub alcohol on the stain and take it out in one or two wash cycles.

For Blood Stains

Simply soak it in cold water and add salt along with hydrogen peroxide to the water. Wring it out and add more salt and peroxide onto the stain. Remember to always launder it in cold water. You can also use a combination of vinegar and soda for tough blood stains.

Grass Stains

You can use a combination of vinegar and water. For such stubborn stains, vinegar is an excellent way to remove them. Simply mix together water and vinegar then dot it into the stain and wash in cold water. You can also use alcohol instead of water, to mix with the vinegar.

Grease Stains

These are one of the toughest stains that are caused by substances like cooking oils, salad dressing, grease from a bike chain etc. Use a dishwashing detergent first. Rinse thoroughly with it and then wash it off with water. Adding a little baking soda to the water is another effective method for getting rid of grease stains.

So no matter what type of stain you have never give up, instead attack that spot! Lather, rinse and repeat as much as required and using these handy tips, knock those undesired spots right off your clothes.
